Boston University Petition to TIAA CREF to Stop Investing in the Israeli Occupation

To TIAA-CREF:The Expansion of the settlements in and the continued Israeli occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem violates international law and prevents a peaceful solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Several US companies are heavily involved in the expansion of Israeli settlements in and Israeli occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, especially Motorola, Elbit, Northrup Grumman, Veolia and Caterpillar. TIAA-CREF has invested many millions of dollars in those companies. We regard those investments as incompatible with TIAA-CREF's pledge to invest "for the common good"

As participants in TIAA-CREF we call upon it to divest from companies that profit from the expansion of Israeli settlements in and continued occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
